Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all LifePath products, including Prose LifePath, School LifePath, and Care LifePath.

What we collect

When you create an account or purchase a product, we collect your name, email address, billing information, and product selections. If you join a waitlist, we collect your email and the product you selected. School LifePath users may store student demographic information (name, school, grade) for IEP and 504 tracking purposes.

How we use information

We use your information to provide and improve the service, process payments, send transactional emails (confirmations, receipts, product updates), and communicate with you about your account.

Service providers

We use third-party services to operate the service, including:

• Supabase for authentication, database, and storage.
• Stripe for payment processing.
• Resend for sending transactional emails.
• Anthropic for AI-powered features.
• Netlify for hosting and serverless functions.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Account-related emails (receipts, password resets) are transactional and cannot be opted out of.

Student data (School LifePath)

School LifePath users may store student demographic information (name, school, grade, special education status) for the purpose of tracking IEPs, 504 plans, evaluations, and communications. Student data is stored securely and is only accessible to the account holder and any designated delegates. We do not share student data with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., Supabase for storage). Student data is retained for as long as the account is active. Parents or guardians may request deletion of student data at any time. School LifePath is designed for parent/guardian use and is not intended to replace a school district's official records system.

AI and data processing

When you use AI-powered features (available in Prose LifePath and School LifePath), the content you provide may be sent to third-party AI providers (Anthropic) for processing. We do not use your data to train or improve AI models. Data sent to AI providers is processed transiently and is not retained by the provider beyond the duration of the request. You should not include personally identifying information of others or sensitive legal/medical details in AI prompts unless necessary for the specific use case.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. The Supabase authentication library uses a session cookie to keep you signed in across page loads. You can clear this cookie at any time by signing out.

Data deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@golifepath.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Certain data may be retained longer if required by law (e.g., billing records). After deletion, your data is purged from our databases and any cached copies are invalidated.

Children's privacy

LifePath products are intended for users aged 18 and older. School LifePath is designed for parents and guardians to track their child's educational information; the account holder is the parent or guardian, not the child. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest where supported by our infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and enable any available multi-factor authentication.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the service. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
